Senators anniversary jersey

actually loved the armada b and w unis and overall design but not so sure about the olympiques. their logo is too complex to work with minimal colours. it worked for the armada because their logo and unis are simple, striking and contrast well. also im not against b and w per se but you definately dont want two teams going that route. going to look like watching tv in the 50s when the two teams play each other. In Tuesday's leak we also learned that the Heritage Jersey will see action twice on the road, in Montreal and Toronto. The Vancouver Canucks Jerseys and Maple Leafs already have white throwback jerseys so I can't help but wonder if they'll wear them for those games against Ottawa. Though it's not in the press release on the Sens' website, the Ottawa Citizen reported yesterday that the Ottawa Senators Jerseys will make its game debut on Oct. 13 when the Senators host the Colorado Avalanche. That brings me to some shoddy reporting that needs to be cleared up. CTV Ottawa said yesterday that the Senators had unveiled their 20th anniversary jersey. Which they hadn't. Le Journal de Quebec also used the same image in their story, though in their defense, a translation of their article from French reads "the jersey will be unveiled," not that it had been already. And get this: The design these "news agencies" published was nothing more than a concept pulled straight from this very website more than a year ago. On March 10, 2010, I posted artwork designed by Tyler Allen that, in terms of design, is identical to what was posted by these two news outlets. Only the shoulders, name and number have been altered (right). The overall design remains completely intact. Lay one on top of the other and you'll find no differences. Granted, this design isn't far off from what was leaked earlier this week, but it is enough for us to notice. Check out the sleeves and the striping around the waistline. Plus, the numbers on the back are supposed to be white, not black. And where's the new shoulder shield?I understand CTV Ottawa wanting to give their web vistors and viewers an idea of what the Philadelphia Flyers Jerseys will look like, but reporting "Senators unveil new jersey" is flat out false. They haven't yet. We'll certainly know it when they do. I hope that clears up any confusion. I know a number of you had emailed me links and been left scratching your heads. I don't know if i'm the only one who realised this but if you look at the tease pick from back in march, you'll notice it's actually white and not "vintage" white they are using. Now it's possible they could've changed the colour scheme a bit since then, but i doubt it considering the leaked photo is pretty accurate with the tease. Personally, vintage white or not, still better then the "Sens" Jerseys. I'm equally happy with the Olympiques color change. My grand-mother used to bring me to games back when they were wearing those colors and won the memorial cup. This will bring back welcomed memories!

Official 20th anniversary logo which

The 20 font is pretty obviously meant to evoke the retro Jerseys "O" logo, so I've got no problems with that part. It does seem that they've gone to simplifying anniversary logos, compared to some of the intricate designs of the past. I'd be surprised if we ever saw an anniversary patch in the future that compares to, say, the Minnesota North Stars' 25th patch. (That's not to say there weren't simple designs back then, either, though...) The beige all over the homepage of Les Sénateurs does disturb me greatly too. I can only hope they have some sense and not use "vintage white" on the unis. As far as I'm concerned, forms of beige should only be worn by teams that have it in their color scheme; i.e. the "sand" of Phoenix and the "wheat" of Minnesota. Chicago gets a pass for their tan, as it's based on the team actually wearing tan in the 1930s, and Boston gets a pass on their WC Baseball Jerseys because of the offset effect of the uniforms being primarily gold. Pretty weak to rip off a fan concept and claim it's an official release, especially when there's been no official release. The ottawa senators announced plans on Thursday to celebrate their second decade of NHL hockey during the 2011-12 season. The club also unveiled its official 20th anniversary logo which, as you can see in this side-by-side comparison (right), differs from the 20th logo we saw in March when the team gave us a sneak peek at the Heritage MLB Jerseys. Two things bug me right off the bat. The official anniversary logo, which is no better than the prototype seen in March, is awfully generic. Generic fonts, generic banner. Nothing about it furthers the Senators brand. The other thing is the beige, or vintage white as we've come to know it. It's trendy, we get it. The 86-year-old Bruins used it in their Winter Classic throwback hockey jerseys. The Rangers used it last year when they turned 85. A little less understandably, the Sabres did it at age 40. But guess what. Two years ago, the Montreal Canadiens celebrated 100 years without that dingy shade of white. So why is a team that's barely 20 breaking out the antique colors? This is not the same Ottawa Senators club that was a founding member of the NHL in 1917. There was a massive 58-year gap between that team and this one. I'm not against them celebrating their city's hockey heritage, I just think that trendy beige is silly. And it's just being overused now. I mean, look at that logo. It says 1992—2012 on what's meant to look like a white material that's been aging in the attic for a century or more. Silly. The Senators did not unveil their new Heritage Jersey at yesterday's press conference, though the design was leaked on the blog this week. The official release will come closer to the season, and the team confirmed some details about when it will be used. Wow that's a huge change for the Olympiques... Considering their current home Cheap jerseys is bright friggin orange. I don't mind a potential change though, my dad would take me to Olympiques games at the Bob when i was a kid, and they were always in black and silver, so it works for me. That 20th anniversary mark is lame, how boring will that look at centre ice... or will it be the all star logo? Im curious to see what the Sens go with. As for CTV Ottawa, well, their news and broadcasts are consistently sub-par in my opinion, im not surprised they took something off the internet and called it an unveiling, they definitely need ppl who do their homework lol.

The purchase of an authentic jersey

Like the real thing and am happy to hold out for the good stuff. Good on Chris for keeping everybody straight! It makes me sick every time I see fake Jerseys worn by fans at Oilers games during the year. It's so brutally noticeable to any real fans eye as to who cheaped out and bought a fake jersey, vs who went out and spent the extra dollar in the merchandise your team wears. To the person who commented above me, I'm not knocking you for buying something cheap for hockey games at all (that would be the day I wore my Eberle jersey in an actual game) - but you can easily buy a practice jersey for hockey instead of a $240 authentic jersey. More jerseys vs the odd treat? How many jerseys do you want? If you have 1 or 2 jerseys to wear to the games or at home/at the bar while watching, that should be enough. You don't need a jersey for every line out there. I own my fair share of jerseys and they are not cheap (as you all know). As a student, it's hard to shell out close to $200 for a jersey. I feel that supporting your team and showing off the colours are much more important that have the top of the line NHL Jerseys. Do all of you buy authentic shirts and shoes and sunglasses all the time? If you do, then you must have a pretty penny. If your like me, a die hard sports fan with the shoe string budget, these are a great way to show the world your love of your team

really? I'm a goalie too, and play with licensed CCM replica jerseys, one a large and one an extra large. Granted, my C/A is a senior small, but I like my jerseys a little snug over my pads. I know for a fact that the NHL shop or reputable shops carry double-extra large jerseys that I'm sure would fit. If you're a really big guy, it may be a bit snug, but you should be arright. Sure, they're not cheap and I haven't had the cash to buy Milwaukee Brewers Jerseys for a few years, but I treasure the ones I have and use 'em! I'm not sure why these Jets jerseys constantly need debunking. Has anyone thought they were anything more than a fan concept? When I first saw them I thought they looked alright and I wouldn't mind if they became the real thing, but I didn't think for a second they were anything official. Then there was that story in the Free Press debunking them, and again here.

I don't buy the MLB Women Jerseys but you know I get where the fans who buy them are coming from. Investing in a jersey, especially in most living situations can be considered an irresponsible expense. Buy still buy the authentic jerseys like mad, but really, I think that what it comes down to is you are still supporting the team. Not financially through the purchase of an authentic jersey, but you do show support through wearing the jersey and being part of the atmosphere of hockey games with other fans. Fakes or not, you are repping the colours and I don't see it as a crime if your jersey is less expensive and of "lesser" quality.I'm reading a lot of arguments that make no sense, but I'm not going to call anyone out specifically. To clarify my point, however, be a fan, love your team... but I'm offended by the idea that anyone happy to steal from their team (which is essentially what you're doing) and think that's it's ok because their too cheap to save up and buy legally. And sorry Dave, I lied. You're getting called out but only because you're just above my comment here. The crime isn't that your counterfeit jersey is of a lesser quality (no need for quote marks, it is actually a lesser quality), the crime is that these companies are stealing the trademarks of NHL franchises and ignorant fans are just handing over their money with no idea as to where it's really going. You buy licensed jerseys because the money that pays your millionaire superstars doesn't come out of thin air. That's all. As for the above post, the online MLB Jerseys companies were very quick to jump onto that design. Very very quick. My friends brought up that they found the concept design already up which surprised me, usually those companies are good with waiting for the official release...maybe the Chinese have some NHL intel and are months ahead of us, who knows ;

Goalie cut 3rd jersey made

Buy the licensed shirts and hats and other knick-knacks, but when they decide to come down substantially on player uni's, then i'll buy those licensed. I won't gripe or complain, but then again my team is not in the hunt to be moved anywhere anytime soon. If the knock off looks great and fits the wallet, i'll wear it with no shame. As you can plainly see, these Jerseys were born out of a concept created by DC Visual Arts, which I posted on the blog in June. Not only have they ripped off the jersey designs — which, let's be honest, are not all that original in the first place, but rather based on historical sweaters — but they've even used the guy's Winter Classic logo. Quakers-based Flyers concepts have been all over the place as have white Rangers jerseys with the logo instead of the wordmark on the front. You can see lots on the Icethetics Concepts page alone. Look, if it comes down to someone just wanting a physical representation of their own design, there are legitimate ways to go about it. But let's call this what it is. These boneheads are saying they're "authentic" just to make a buck. It's embarrassing. As with the Jets, I'm not saying these designs could not possibly be similar to the 2012 Winter Classic Jersey, but simple fact is, the event hasn't officially been announced yet. We know from the schedule that the Flyers will host the Rangers in the elements on the afternoon of Jan. 2, but who knows whether they'll even have new retro jerseys. In fact, both teams are already wearing throwbacks on a regular basis. My goal here isn't to be a downer. I'm just trying to help you separate what's real from what's not. You don't have to buy it, but I have offered evidence. And just understand that if/when any NHL uniform design does leak, it certainly won't be coming from an illegitimate Chinese company that makes lousy knock-offs. Some final thoughts: If you're the sort of person who's eager to hand his money over to an illegal business for a fake NHL Jerseys, then you lose the right to complain when your team has a shitty season or the owner does anything you don't like — be it snubbing a high-value player or not fixing up a run-down arena. It just makes you a hypocrite. Buy officially licensed merchandise and support your team. That's my bit. Everyone complaining about people buying fake jerseys and not supporting their team, well here is the reason I do it. I play hocket 3-6 times a week, a good number of those times I am wearing my own jersey. I am also a goalie. If the NHL made an affordable Cheap Jerseys that actually fit goalies than I would buy one. Do you know how hard it is to get a legitimate Halak goalie cut 3rd jersey made? Oh well basically impossible. Reason being, Reebok wont sell their jerseys in goalie cut with a team logo on it, and you can't find the front logo anywhere to sew on either. So that means you have to spend $70 for a Chinese made Reebok goalie cut jersey, then $80 for the name/number kit. Then around $70 to get the logo custom made. Or I can get the Chinese made knock-off that isn't perfect, but I can then cut it open on the sides and arms and extend it for $15 to get it to fit over my equipment and not feel bad about "ruining" a good jersey. If the NHL had any sort of affordable jerseys I'd buy them instead of the fake ones (I do own real ones as well). If they sold a jersey with a name/number for $70-80 I'd buy it in a second. In fact I'd buy a few and NHL would be making more money. I truly believe that in this case lowering your prices would increase profits. For the $30-40 more for the legitimate jersey over the knock-off NHL would cut into the counterfeit business. And people like myself would be able to afford more MLB Jerseys and not just the odd "treat" once every 5 years.

Laid-back city

The day before leaving Nepal, we came to Patan, Kathmandu, one of the oldest cities, it is about 700 years of history, temples scattered across the city. Here's the old red brick buildings are mostly built on soil, antique, Jerseys and decorative carving fine, worthy of the art city in the world. Some of the temple, believers can be seen long lines, waiting to enter the temple, there are a lot when I saw believers to rest sitting chatting outside the ancient tower, but with a freehand immersed in the sacred atmosphere. In addition to people, calmly walked pigeon flocks, tour guide, said: "This is dependent on God when believers pray, there are a few pigeons, there is much desire." Patan Square pigeons countless more. Patan old building with a sort of vicissitudes, and then the United States can not escape the years of construction signs; like the worse, the relentless dust attempt to blur its light, the dust may have accumulated 700 years, in front of the building has long been as good as past ... ... standing in a busy, noisy people and cars flute square, I suddenly felt very tired. Guides recommend to the square opposite the Baseball Jerseys shops, I climbed to the top floor open air restaurant seating, call for a cup of milk and spices cup, sitting watching the busy city. Across a road from a certain height to see Patan Square, I feel very different eyes is still a lively temples and towers of the landscape, the ear is still ongoing car siren, but the vision of many, the mood has changedwas calm, the original is not only a drilling site in order to have experience, and occasionally need a little distance. I slowly sipping fragrant tea, immersed in the excitement of leisure. The setting sun illuminated the Kathmandu city some misty, perhaps dust in the air, it adds a little romance; near visible terraces and MLB Jerseys,Not far away is the famous broad Ha Fota, surrounded by dense buildings. Ke wooden tray between the Tibetan Temple is the temple, many Westerners come to retreat, to learn Buddhism. It is located in Kathmandu suburb, perhaps because in the mountains, or perhaps it is itself a practice of quiet place, Ke wooden tray into the Temple of the moment, I felt came to downtown in a pure land, where fresh air, no crowds or heavy traffic, even without any loud noise, this is my other places in Kathmandu can not be found. Wonderful to say, a few days ago across the broad Ha Fota restaurant, a Tibetan Master asked us if we come from Singapore, can you help ordering a Chinese translation of the Master, before leaving, Tibetan Master tells us that he came from Temple Ke wooden tray and leave phone number. Was also thought too much, but the fourth day in Nepal, I suddenly forgot that the last scheduled night of hotel, it is very offensive to call the Master for help, so we came to the Temple of Ko wooden tray. In fact, many years ago, I was alone bought NHL Jerseys Ke wooden tray temple and prepared to travel in Nepal, but the situation was unstable, canceled plans last minute . Now, perhaps fate has matured, not only to visit Ko wooden tray Temple, was also able to stay one night. After dinner the night, we rest in the room. At eight o'clock a sudden power outage, a few days in Nepal, we are already commonplace, but today the feeling is different from the room was not dark, I look out the window, but the street outside what did not, is surprised, only to find the moon. Escape so bright moonlight, light from the window on the desk, a Silverlit, when the night even more quiet. Perhaps because today is the lunar fourth, perhaps a month these days, the moon is so brilliant, but unfortunately blinded by the dazzling city of the total beauty of nature. Now I want to do nothing, just want to buy hockey jerseys, so spent last night in Kathmandu, to draw on this trip the perfect ending.

The new home sweater

Regarding their baby blue Jerseys, they have to keep them for this season because of their contract with Reebok. Then I think they are getting rid of them. The Kings unveiled their new white road sweater (right) at the 2011 draft, which officially confirms months of speculation going back to October when we first saw prototypes.   The new Baseball Jerseys nearly matches the black alternate launched in 2008 — which becomes the new home jersey next season. The key difference is in the waist striping. On the black jerseys, there's piping around the bottom but no waist stripes. The October leak aside, this uniform swap wasn't entirely unforeseen. The team has been dropping hints for some time. For example, the players wore the black third jerseys for home games throughout their 2010 and 2011 playoff runs. The black and purple home jersey which debuted in 2007 is apparently set to become the new alternate in 2011 and the highly popular purple-and-gold throwback sweater from last year will go back into the mothballs. At least according to LA Kings Insider Rich Hammond, that is. He said that back in March. Now, I've been told that the Kings are contemplating surprising fans by bringing back the retro threads as a full-time alternate uniform in the autumn. But it's only a rumor until then. I've got my fingers crossed. While the fate of the black and purple NHL Jerseys remains up in the air for now, the 2007 white road jersey is officially no more. I, for one, won't miss it. Believe it or not, every rumor we've discussed here on the site has been dead on. A rarity, to be sure, right?   Initial reports said the blue and black thirdMLB Jerseys would be the new home sweater and a white version would be added. That was true... until it wasn't anymore (when the team changed its mind). New rumors circulated that gold would be the new home color. And on July 13, that became official. Regarding the new logos, a never before seen "NP" lettermark was seen in April on Pekka Rinne's new mask design for 2011. Turns out it is one of the new secondary logos and it will be used on the uniform pants, as seen in photos.   And finally, to quote an earlier edition of the JerseyWatch: "Other speculation involves a freshening up of the very '90s primary logo — perhaps swapping the navy blue for a brighter shade and increasing the amount of gold in use. Ultimately we'll probably have to wait until summer for any kind of confirmation." Dead on. Again. I know it sounds like I'm tooting my own horn here, but that's not really the case. What I'm trying to say is that Icethetics has great readers when it comes to providing early details before they become official. All I do is filter what comes in. So kudos to you guys for keeping us all a step ahead! One thing I reported that Reebok got wrong was when they said the third Philadelphia Flyers Jerseys was not changing in 2011. In fact, no third jersey will be used next season at all. And for as nice as this new set looks, I'm sure it won't be long before a blue sweater works its way back into the Predators' arsenal. That's just the way the world seems to work. I'm not a hard source per se, but I've talked to the manager of the Blackhawks Store in Chicago and he's confirmed that the third jersey is being retired, which is why they're selling all of their third Jerseys for 25% off. They're just going red at home and white on the road this season.
